Doing IT for Good, the corporate philanthropy platform of strategic advisory firm Landmark Ventures, has announced a Request for Proposals for its 2010 annual grant cycle.

Doing IT for Good was founded in 2007 to bring top corporate executives and cutting-edge technology companies together in support of deserving nonprofits making a significant social impact. The program uses a unique model combining financial grants, network building, and ongoing organizational assistance. The program is designed to promote corporate social responsibility within the technology arena and draw attention to nonprofits that leverage technology to affect change. Previous nonprofit participants include YearUp, which provides urban young adults with a unique combination of academic and professional technology experience, and NPower, which offers comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable technology assistance to other nonprofit groups.

DITFG seeks proposals from technology-related nonprofits that are committed to improving the social and economic status of their community. Ideal organizations are capable of navigating systemic challenges and would benefit from financial assistance and pro bono management consulting to reach the next stage of growth. Organizations at all stages of development are encouraged to apply.

The Request for Proposals and application instructions are available at the Landmark Ventures Web site.
